This is a very informative and practical class. Unlike a lot of dumb Oracle classes where all you learn is what a button does... this class actually provides its "real world" application providing you with a truer feeling of, "Ohhh... I get it now." The best thing about this class for those taking it in the future, is that it will seriously only improve for the better. There were a lot of lessons learned by plan academy as well as its students because it was the first time being offered. There were a lot of very knowledgeable students in my class and I felt everyone was getting something out of it.
I felt that the course information was well put together and used a fairly straight forward project. It definitely dealt with details for planning each of the steps. I have done many of these same steps in developing even larger and more difficult projects over the last 20 years of scheduling. However the need for adding resources and cost is being requested more and more on projects. I felt that it was time to work through some training to see how someone else ties all the information together. This has been very helpful.
Exceptionally clear and informative course to fully prepare you for planning and scheduling large construction projects!
Awesome course, I learned a lot things
I enjoyed enrolling in this course. The pace at which the class goes with a detailed explanation and visually showing us how to perform various options is amazing plus the quizzes and practice workshops at the end of each module helps with practicing the concepts I just learned. Not to mention the value added with building a project using actual project documents. As soon as I got access to the schedule for a previous project from my company, I felt very comfortable where to look for key information, and the ability to decipher the schedule specification is such an invaluable aspect of this course. Thank you Michael Lepage for putting together a great course. Last but not the least, I also loved the outtakes video at the end giving us a peek at the video production of the course. I will definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to learn advanced topics of P6 software. However, I just have one comment. A video lecture on Earned Value Management would have been great. Nevertheless, it's a great course...
Really good well informed course...maybe a bit more detail on progress reporting I shall, and have recommended Plan Academy to colleagues P6 Advanced Course Couple of issues.... 1) Printing...I did not have an A1 paper to select....I used A3 and did not get the desired output..? 2) Question 6 in the last test...my Answer was PS-1M....and...PF+1M for printing buffer...is this correct...I was marked down Many thanks to the Plan Academy team..
It was a great walkthrough with Michael learning about advance scheduling in the construction domain. I come from a different domain (Turnaround and Maintenance) and wanted to learn how does this industry utilize P6 to its full extent. And this was indeed the Aha moment for me !! I learned many new tricks and found some similar to what I have been practicing with extensive activity codes out of ROSER, be it for cost account or resource coding, all topics were briefly covered to my expectation. I only miss the Earned Value part which was of utmost interest for me, hopefully in the upcoming programs that should be covered with some emphasis on schedule updating and baseline revision during project execution ! Thank you Michael for this wonderful course ! Happy learning !!

The course gives realistic approach to handle the projects. The teaching methodology is very unique. The course simply starts with a contract and then gradually develops the schedule to an advanced level. During this time line, one is equipped with advanced tools to sort out real world issues. Michael and Team, Thank you for this course. I am new to P6 Scheduling and have had a limited amount of experience scheduling using a robust software like P6. I did participate in scheduling IT training for 1000's of learners each year across the globe while working at NetApp as a Global Support Training Lab Manager. We designed, developed and delivered training, that included hands on labs and proctored exams, for our internal and field engineers, as well as partner integrators. We used Excel, SharePoint calendars, and lots of post-it notes back then. That was circa 2008-2016 for me. Now, I have made a complete career make-over and work in government contracting onsite as a SSHO or Supt or QC as the project requires. P6 Scheduling is a path I am focused on. I really enjoyed this training. I have waited years to get to this point. It was worth the wait. Thank you with my sincerest gratitude. Charles
