In this course, you will learn the skills you need to be an effective Construction project planner & scheduler as well as the knowledge you will need to begin scheduling Construction projects. If you’re interested in becoming an accomplished project controls professional, this training will establish your understanding of all the fundamental concepts, processes, and procedures necessary.
Many people mistakenly think taking a course on project management software is enough and that knowing how to use a computer application qualifies them to be professionals in project scheduling. It is a huge mistake to rush to learning the computer application before you understand the concepts, definitions, calculations, and mechanics of the Critical Path Method and all related subjects.
Dr. Mubarak, drawing from his 30+ years of in-the-field project experience, will teach you the proper approach to creating construction project schedules. Specifically, you will cover the life cycle of a construction schedule, from the moment the project is conceived, including estimating, creating a network, scheduling, analysis and updating. From there, Dr. Mubarak will focus on CPM scheduling and the intricacies of applying the Critical Path Methodology to real-life Construction timelines. You’ll also cover precedence networks, bar charts, total float, lag and lead time, calendars, driving relationship and many more topics specific to scheduling.

Very interesting
Some of the terminology was unique to this course and may not be industry standard. Some of the test questions may have been briefly mentioned in the course, but not necessarily stressed on to denote important information, perhaps a segment review, especially after highlighting a story or past experience just before a quiz.
The instructor was likable and found the applicable stories in each of the modules relatable and engaging.
Great Course! Dr Mubarak is by far the most knowledgeable project controls expert I have ever come across. Saleh possesses a rare combination of an unmatched wealth of technical knowledge with years of quality practical field experience. The subjects are broken down into clear and easy to understand points, real life examples are given, and the material is brought to life. I learned alot from this course and would recommend the course to anyone involved in the Project Controls field. Even experienced Professionals can learn new things while taking this course.

Great intro course to construction scheduling.
It was good information.
It was a great refresher for me on the basics, covering all the important theoretic aspects of scheduling and key points to remember. A couple of videos on the examples was out of sequences, but other than that easy to follow and understand.
Well done. The course gave a good explanation of concepts and their importance.
As a Construction Superintendent that has helped create many baseline schedules and sat though many updates, I highly recommend that this course be provided or taken by Supts and upcoming Forman to help bridge the gap between the, "what's and why's" of scheduling.
