Great course
Excellent course and support from the instructor and his team.
The Advanced P6 Progressing with Earned Value course provides in-depth training on earned value management (EVM) and rebaselining within Primavera P6. It equips experienced project managers with advanced skills to track performance, integrate cost and schedule data, and manage baselines effectively. Emphasizing real-world applications, the course helps professionals master EVM principles and adjust project baselines to maintain control over scope, cost, and schedule. This program is ideal for those seeking to enhance their expertise in managing complex projects.
Excellent
Another gem from Plan Academy! This course is indispensable if you want to take on the role of scheduler on any kind of project. Even as an experienced scheduler I learned so much about the basics of reporting, financial periods and EVM. As many may relate, there are many pitfalls in progressing construction schedules. Especially if you are working with baselines, reporting periods and changes requests. This course covers all this in a practical way. Just like the On-Demand Advanced Schedule Building course this sequel is based on real world situations and answered more questions I could ask for. Thanks again Plan Academy.
Detailed and very practical as the areas/examples of situations covered are what one comes across at work.
Practical Workshop -Hands-on exercises mirroring real-world scheduling scenarios to practice progressing costs, applying EVM, and managing change orders.
Some of the files get different results than those shown in the videos. Plus, I had to wait a long time for review of some workshops. I would have given a higher rating if this was not the case.
Overall, the courses were very valuable and I learned a lot. The content aligned well with the Gotham City Water project and real-world scenarios. I completed all workshops and uploaded them to the portal, but I never received any feedback- even though I didn't see any mistake in my homework.
This was a great course. A lot of valuable information shared and taught at a great pace. Thank you Michael and Team!
This is a very good course, Michael explained in very detailed all the aspect of progress reporting and what’s happening behind the scenes when P6 calculate Earned Value Management. I found out a lot of things that I didn’t know that exists, like financial periods/ buckets which are a great feature and solve a big problem in reporting, when the previous dates, finally, are stored as were performed and not redistributed by P6, also I have seen great features in reporting. What is missing from this course, maybe will be subject of the new future course is determining time extension. How to calculate amount of time extension taking in consideration all the aspects like the Contractor pour progress, the Employer Risk Event, Change Orders, bad weather and others.
