Welcome back to the course. This video is a whiteboard session and we want to cover an important topic in project management and its and important topic in Primavera as well. It's a topic of building relationships into our schedule, relationship. So in this whiteboard session we want to understand the different types of relationship that we have available to us. Let’s step back or the moment and talk about the language. Often we use different words to represent the same concept.

In Primavera we talk about adding relationships, but I project management we want to talk about adding links to our schedule or adding logic or adding dependencies. This are the different ways to say the same thing. And essentially what this process does is simply putting this links and the logic it is really the process of putting order to our activities. So we’re setting an order of execution for our projects activities.

In this course up until now, we’ve only added activities and we haven’ specified how those activities should be ordered in the schedule. That’s what we’ll learn about in this whiteboard session. Now we want to understand the four different ways to link two activities together. They’re called the relationship types and again this is project management theory and this is not anything that is specific to Primavera but its general management theory. So...
