Let’s take a minute to go through Primavera's progress field, yeah I know it doesn't sound like a very exciting topic and you probably know already that Primavera has tons of fields, there are so many field in this tool.

So I want to pull out for you the important ones related to progressing, as we get into progressing we find there’s a whole bunch of categories of fields and I want to understand those, it’s going to make your life a whole lot easier, let’s get into it.

Every activity can be in one of three states, can be a planned, in progress or completed, planned activity means it has no progress, an in progress activity has got some progress, some work has been done, a completed activity is completely done, all the work is been done on that activity, so each activity can have one of these three states.

Now each activity also has three sort of designations or three areas of data, we have the dates kind of area that we can status, we have a resource assignments that has work and costs, that area needs to be statused as well and then we have expenses on the expenses tab, so we have these three different areas that need to be statused and there are important fields for each of those areas so let’s go into them in depth and see what I’m talking about.
